At this point I can't tell if you are arguing in bad faith, or just unfamiliar with how prime works. Just in case: You have cited the cost of prime for a full year. Oh for the love of fuck. I don't subscribe to Prime or p

There's no "Managed" section showing up on my phone and the last time I set that network to not auto-join it still did. Lesson learned, I just turn off WiFi and Bluetooth before heading out to Home Depot.

Their in-store WiFi is a repeater more or less. It's one of those bullshit forced auto-join networks that you can't opt out of (at least on iOS). Because that's not a massive vector for phishing or anything.

All of that happens in the US, the big difference is that if you get care you stand a good choice of going bankrupt. The largest single reason for bankruptcy in the US is medical care and of that group the largest chunk is folks who previo

Most (and the biggest) BCBS licensees are for-profit. Kaiser is not but is still eye wateringly expensive. For me, a silver plan will be about $700-800 next year. And then you take a look at what a bronze plan covers…

The individual mandate merely guaranteed a captive audience for health insurance companies. That doesn't do anything for cost. What drives cost is the ACA limiting profits based on the cost of care, thus more expensive care equals mo

A quick google turned up an Akamai outage in July that took Linode down and two in 2021. At that scale nobody's going to come up smelling like roses. I mostly dealt with Amazon crap at megacorp, but nobody that had to deal with our A

Disposable as in unrepairable or difficult to repair, not disposable as in slow. Honestly, aside from people making bad faith arguments who would use disposable to imply slow? Do me a favor and stop responding to my comments. Thanks.

This seems like more of a BMW issue than EV. On my E46 and E39 there's a pyrotechnic fuse on the negative battery terminal. It's somewhere around $400 in parts to replace. It's only gotten more expensive and more complex
