Dashes vs. underscores are different because search engines see dashes as spaces, so /my-cool-blog is actually /my cool blog while /my_cool_blog is /my_cool_blog (a single word :) Here's a page where Matt Cutts, head of Webspam on Google, e

Yes, I've read until the individual countries analysis. It's good. Very, very good. It's not always right, of course, and if you refresh multiple times a day hn, reddit and techcrunch you'll know 90% of the text. And except for a few odd ac

I can't figure out if you're agreeing or disagreeing with me :) The OP asked why VC funded companies need millions, and you've said yourself, they do need. You don't need to be on the top 1% to have 10 employees. If you do have ~10 people w

Yes, it is worth, specially since you're making a website, even if you're going to hire someone. You can at least glance if they're doing correctly, as far as you will know. HTML/CSS isn't hard. And you need to consider if what you're doing

I think you've answered your question :) None wants to do it, so the companies have to pay a lot of money. Now, you might ask, none wants to be the garbage man, and their salay is crap. But it's a low barrier job to entry, and its employer

I hope there's no problem submitting my own blog post. I've been thinking about making a website like the one I described on the post for a long time but never got up and did it. Anyway, I also hope the "fuck" up there isn't too offensive.

Yeah, I feel you. I think I know what happened. Some "journalist" took poetic licence interpreting what the developer probably said: Dev: It took me 5 hours to build and I made $1000. Reporter: Developer makes $200/hr building iPhone apps.
