Indeed. There are also programs that have long been used for such purposes in the Windows world (i.e. Notepad++/Programmer's Notepad, WinRAR/7zip, Windows Powershell and Putty) which are likely to be better than anything MS can ever integra

Out of curiosity, do these messages ever do anything other than potentially fill up a government official's spam filter? Not trying to troll here, just genuinely curious about these letters' impact.

I know that you already have HTML5 Boilerplate linked, but it should be noted that there's a separate boilerplate page for mobile ( http://html5boilerplate.com/mobile/ ).

This was nearly the same experience for me. Background: I am a rather technical person -- been messing with computers since MS-DOS 4 at the age of 8ish (sorry, not trying to show my epeen, just giving context) -- and was always apprehensive

I've actually been slowly getting accustomed to this. Before, I used to just drink my hateorade when it came to things like this, but ever since I've started to visit HN more frequently, my tolerance has expanded.

Looking into diving into Django as well -- what Django book are you referring to, if I may ask?

Microsoft also made something similar to show off IE9's HTML5/CSS3 capabilities. I don't have a link handy, but it should be easy to find.

I get that hidden volumes will stick out, but what about hidden volumes that are relatively small in size -- let's say about 500K - 1MB? Would that still stick out as its footprint is smaller or is that not the right way to look at hidden v

I can somewhat confirm this as well: Ran Firefox, went to the about window and it was already downloading the update. It also does autoinstall, but you will get notified if you still have the default Vista/7 notification settings (i.e. 'Bla

"Secret" recipes should be fine, as you point out, if they it can just be marked as "secret" yet still contain flags (i.e. contains: gluten, nut, dairy, etc.). I don't see this is too much of a problem, especially for higher-end restaurants
