Afaik Nginx doesn't do TLS renegotiation so I think you're safe. Disclaimer: I know nothing.

Unlike support for something like Proxies (which was recently added), isn't Intl.Collator fairly easily polyfilled?

I've used both Flow and TS, and we are currently using Flow. I disagree with the notion that Flow's lack of success is due to differences in soundness. Today, I think Flow's exact-by-default object types are the biggest selli

Don't know if you are interested in feedback for the site, but IMO the low contrast of the gray hurts to read. I don't mean this as a knee jerk "all text must be #000 on #fff" reaction, but maybe something like --color-b

For the Finns reading this, there's a Twitter bot "ylekov" [1] that combines headlines from different Finnish news outlets using Markov chains. Sometimes they come out pretty funny > Suora lähetys virkaanastujaisista – ain

They said "arrow function methods", so I assume they're looking for public class fields support [1], not only arrow functions support per se. Public class fields (apart from static fields) are also supported in Safari though

Your fetch examples don't reject the promise if the server responds with error status code, like 404, which is probably not what you'd want. You'd need to handle that separately with something like const resp = await fe

If the new messaging app doesn't have an option to import previous chats from the old platform, changing platforms does come with a price.

I'm wondering if the JS compile target could be used for debugging, at least in cases where it's the general logic of the app you want to debug and not some native code -specific bug. JS already has pretty good debugger story for

Good points, but I have to say that even with all that, Netflix app/site is by far the best of the streaming services that I've used. HBO Nordic, Viaplay and YouTube movies have pretty bad UI/UX problems and their streams bec

Also, it's not like TypeScript is without its own set of legacy cruft that they haven't been able to let go (yet). Namespaces and decorators with old, deprecated spec come to mind. I love TS as much as the next person but I don&#x

Deno is also "just JavaScript" with types automatically stripped off. The selling point being "automatically". It doesn't do runtime type checking.

I know you jest, but I don't think that's a good example of "contrast" between the engines. That was just a bug/oversight and fixed in a couple of weeks after it was reported [1]. [1]: https://trac.webkit

Google has a project called Lovefield [1] that is a SQL-like thing on top of IndexedDB. Not exactly SQLite and I'm not sure what its status is now but might be of interest. [1]: https://github.com/google/lovefield

The most common use case for CAPTCHAs is to prevent or reduce automated spam bots that crawl around the web looking for input fields to fill. For that purpose, the CAPTCHA doesn't have to be perfect, just better than what some other si

For new code, I think most JS devs have already switched to using the class syntax. Also FP in JS is alive and well if you want to avoid dealing with prototype chains altogether. I think we can all agree the Date API sucks, but life can sti
