This was such an unusual thing for me coming from Germany to Italy. The Bus driver would stop at seemingly random places to pick up or drop people off. Once he stopped at the cafe to pick up his newspaper!

Do you have a source on that, them claiming continued support for "things like wine"?

I wish this were/is true, that Apple supports Wine development. But as far as we know, a year from now Apple will end Rosetta 2 support in macOS 28, and with it the ability to run Wine.

Isn't the reason they are so slow to adapt them that they have not enough electricity?

The animations in your short video do in fact look more orderly and less chaotic. Could it be that Apple was using AppKit in Sonoma and switched to SwiftUI now?

Is Apple pushing their engineers to use AI? I thought that was just Microsoft. On an individual level you still have control over your slop, but just imagining what it must be like in a megacorp where your colleagues are contributing to it,

Not just text. Try to build a ui where you need non-trivial and non-standard behavior and SwiftUI will fail. AppKit is still better in this regard.

Once you read thru the newspaper you are done. Nothing new left. Not so with the smartphone. Always new.

Why are almost all planes in the US? Is this a data problem or are only the US rich enough to fly private jets?

A smartphone, at least with a connection to the internet, is always new. There is always something new to see and hear.
