I think it's good to have visibility into something like this, but I worry that we aren't typically getting meaningful discussion since people have dug to the Earth's core to fortify their positions on topics like this, and I

Not sure how you missed the second sentence, or why you would use made up numbers in your response when I provided the brackets. In the U.S., as a single filer, you pay 10% on your first $9,875, 12% from $9,876 to $40,125 and 22% from $40,1

The context is that the OP is saying they make $72K, and someone is responding "just work at Google", which is disturbingly out of touch.

I would imagine if someone had the desire and ability* to get a job at a FAANG they'd have a job at a FAANG. FAANG jobs are, quite frankly, an insignificant fraction of the market. The overwhelming majority of developers are like the O

Yeah, it's very odd because of how transparent the process is. Step 1: Buy the stock with 140% short interest. -> Price goes up. Step 2: Shorts cover (This is the "Sell" phase for retail investors). -> Price goes up. St

At least on PC, the common expectation is that your mouse controls the crosshair/cursor position. If you move left, it moves left, if you move up, it moves up. In first person games your crosshair/cursor is also your POV.
