Good grief, how much I played this (on PC), and never got anywhere: been too young to figure out the actual objective, these days I revisit my childhood games with grownup eyes to start to actually appreciate them. And seems like fellow Hun

That's weird. I don't think I like that the mods can tone down an article title, when submitters are expected to use the original. If the article title makes a wrong claim, the comments and the voting mechanism will take care of t

Not necessarily, wasn't for me (Oxford, just for specificity). Some universities do mandate, but they do that in .doc format for example. Tell them you write your thesis in LaTeX and often it can be "oh, okay...."

I think you might underestimate how big is the error in the normal (wifi) location sensing (e.g. see here[1]). Bluetooth beacons add a much more localized spot, so much less likely to pop up the wrong place on your device, which is very imp

Maybe add [2014] to the title? It's pretty cool, though, not that often that one can read the way Peter Norvig is thinking. Also, instead of "matches the last names of elected US presidents but not their opponents", would it

> Bugzilla is not for discussion of product decisions. That sounds like a very arbitrary distinction, and an argument of convenience. Every line of code that gets into a software is a product decision one way or another...

Okay, the LightSail spacecraft is not a "life or death" thing, but, as it was in the news yesterday[1] seriously logging into CSV file onboard can crash the system and have to wait until it reboots itself (don't react to soft

Adding SPDY is really nothing much in nginx (and that one of the thing that makes it awesome). In practice, if you already have an SSL server, just add the "spdy" to the listen line like "listen 443 ssl spdy;", restart a

What a strange thing to force the payout due to the lawsuit to commence right away, and not after all the legal avenues were exhausted (appeals and such). E.g. they were basically denied of appeal because of being forced into bankruptcy...

Oh, cool, just checking your site as well, it's a very real issue you solve, have some spare Raspberry Pi to try it out. It feels like a big change in dev thinking that I cannot ssh into the board anymore, but also very interesting. By

Looks like the image download is hosted on S3, is it possible to get a direct S3 link to it? Then one could use the "?torrent" query string trick[1] to get a bittorrent download, I'd be happy to seed it for a while. [1]: ht
