To me this is something big, because of it's success on Path-X. It's a bit surprising that just a longer range transformer architecture enabled by better use of the GPU was the solution though.

There are many ways of knowing the means objectively. In countries with mandatory military service and where IQ tests are administered in connection wit that service there is reliable data. Another source is the number of clinical cases of

Ḯ've heard that statement from many but I've never understood how they've been able to make this conceptually difficult for themselves: IQ tests measure relative to a reference population. So we can speak of the IQ of a pers

It is absolutely foundational. You're talking about laws, but free speech isn't about laws, it's a notion of moral philosophy. The sense in which it is foundational is as follows: you cannot have democracy without freedom of

Without freedom of speech you don't have democracy, or true freedom of association, etc. It's a critical foundational right on which other human rights are founded.

Yes, I meant that the upconverting fluorescence was unlikely to change the medium, but as you say, the blue light of course must.

No, definitely not. It's some kind of nonlinear optical effect happening in a medium which ends up as it was from the start. Two photons somehow excite the medium together, and a higher energy photon comes out, but the medium is not ch

Photon upconversion is highly nonlinear, with basically no upconversion at low intensity, because if it weren't, then you don't have energy balance (at least two red photons are needed to make a blue photon).

I'm personally thinking in a quite different direction-- that 100 kWh is pretty decent and that the advantage might be that an electric car with advanced batteries could be something quite simple, and something possibly quite cheap. Th

It used to be that way, but IQ has actually been dropping in Europe for quite some time. In France and the UK it's a drop of about 4 IQ points per decade, which is a bit of a crisis (some scores can be found compiled here: https:/

Even so, this particular statement is factual: Belgians are about 50% of the newborn in Belgium. In Sweden numbers are less certain, but it's less than 60%, somewhere between 50% and 60%, so Swedes are likely to end up being a minority

I myself never learned the quadratic formula, I always just used completing the square, i.e. just using the fact that x^2+ax, and that you can split the ax in two put the resulting rectangles on sides of the square, to make a square with si

It's, I think, more complicated than that. Lack of wealth is lack of power, and with a sufficient lack of wealth one has no power even over ones own living situation. That kind of thing is bad for people-- because they rent they have c

I'm not the guy you're responding to, but I thought I had a reasonable strategy to simply calculate it. I can't do it for America, because I'm not sufficiently familiar with what data you have available and am instead go
