I'm using Linode and Digitalocean. IMHO Linode is better (performance and support). I had physical node issues with Digitalocean. It's super cheaper but i'm not feeling comfortable.

I played tons of tower defense games before and i loved smart ideas of game. Unlimited levels, zooming, simplicity, great concept! I wished to move turrets when new enemy paths added.

Looks nice! My suggestions; Keyboard shortcuts (N for new to-do, Shift-S for saving item). An API, or a Mac/Win app or terminal tool.

Class and demos starting with short php open tag (<?) and not working for me. Default php.ini file comes with 'short_open_tag = false'.
