Just do as the other commenter pointed out and install an alternate youtube frontend on your TV. I'd recommend https://github.com/yuliskov/SmartTube . Then you'll never see another ad again (including those sn

Most acrylic markers have similar problems (clogging, drying out too quickly especially if the cap is not perfectly sealed...), but the end results are worth it.

There is also a Sony Bravia integration for Home Assistant (using the REST API that's in almost all Bravia TVs). https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/braviatv/

Right, there is definitely a short learning curve where you have to get used to the fact that your mouse button is not making any noise. It almost feels like it must be faulty, but it's not, it's just silent.

Silent keyboards (and mice!) are a blessing; and not just in an office environment.

I'm not buying shoes without trying them on, so internet is out. You could just buy the same shoes over and over. Works for me.

The 980 was top of the line, and it was also quite expensive when it was new. No wonder it still works quite well (and being so old, it still supports stuff like maps and voice control).

The "UNITS" part is wonderful. I had no idea slugs even existed. You want to measure how much air mass is in a given volume? That’s gonna be slugs/ft3.

Both fair points. I like to familiarize myself with any appliance I buy, so I tend to read the manual at least once. And yes, it's usually a waste of time. :)
