I know that. But even if GOG goes bankrupt tomorrow I still have all my games and installers on my drive and can play them anytime. I can't say the same thing for Steam.

The can ban them. They don't want to. They could just as easy say "we'll remove the Facebook app until you remove the gaming part". Same for WeChat.

I'm a long time Fusion user so when Blackmagic bought it, I started to look into Resolve as well. The fact the both are nicely integrated and, as you said, it's a one time purchase makes it a no-brainer for me. Amazing software.

But I can play games from my browser. And I can play games that are available through the Facebook app.

AFAIk yes. With GOG you get your installers and everything and you run them / install them without any additional client just as any app on your system. It's why I've been buying games there more than on Steam

Funnily enough the community/free version works without issues. That really sucks if you're a paying customer.

Why are so many projects allergic to screenshots? You put so much work into something and you write a really good readme but then not a single image after stating 'Improved UX, that's still in line with Emacs traditions'.

Instagram and TikTok have been found guilty on collecting an absurd amount of data against user's wishes. How did Apple's policy prevent that? Also I don't see Apple banning TikTok or Instagram.

It really isn't because most of the Windows market is either corporate or 3D/Gaming related. In those markets Macs are still a niche product by a huge margin.
