GDP, as it's measured right now, is mostly just measuring unreported inflation plus money printing. Edit: Real wages are mostly measuring unreported inflation but not measuring money printing.

Yanis Varoufakis, I think? Except he was banned from Germany, not locked up. If he tries to enter, then he might be locked up. They used the intermediate step of calling him a terrorist.

You might be conflating description with prescription. Descriptively, powerful people have all the rights and weak people have none. This is what we observe in the world. No amount of philosophical thought outweighs actual observations. For

The fact that a country is doing a holocaust does not negate the fact it's building infrastructure for the future and raising living standards (for non-victims) faster than any other country.

American hegemony is already in the process of collapsing. It is not about preventing it any more, only about how quickly America chooses to halt it, or not. I'm betting not.

Good news: Office 365 has been renamed to Microsoft 365 Copilot. I'm serious. They dropped the Office branding and their office suite is now called Copilot. This is good news because it means the Copilot button opens Copilot, which is

FYI there are no open source models, only open weights. Open source means you get source code.

Probably because Linux doesn't really have a good model for ad-hoc permission restrictions. It has enough bits to make a Docker container out of, but that's a full new system. You can't really restrict a subprocess to only wr

So, the problem with anticheat on Linux is there's no "safe" reference version of Linux that you can enforce to be running. This is a good thing. It's supposed to be modifiable. This fundamentally conflicts with the goal

You should use a 16-bit CPU then, or an emulator. Compatibility mode doesn't work by having a separate 16-bit core. It's random bits of spaghetti logic to make the core work like a 16-bit core when the 32-bit flag isn't set.

There isn't a separate 8086 core in every x64 core. The whole core has "if/then" spaghetti logic scattered throughout to alter its behaviour based on being in 16-bit mode. At best, they might have been able to confine th
