I am using Heroku for a few small projects, including Swinefighter, which seamlessly got to the front page of digg and Techcrunch'd on Heroku. Once you get used to it, it really is amazing to deploy apps in 2 minutes and not do any sysadmin

Well it is nice to have the interface in javascript. Easier to build in to a normal page and change styling without having to open up a flash editor and re-compiling.

PG is probably referring to a capped convertible note. On a capped convertible point 5 is completely negated. Point 4 is not relevant. Since preferred comes first any way. Point 3 is a reason to do convertible note. Point 2 is a good point.

It probably isn't the actual address. GMap just doesn't allow you to put fuzzy points in, I have had difficulty with that before. So if you did try to trace down that person you would be knocking on a random door asking about a shoe they do

Too many ingredients for Heyzap's taste. I am going to try that out without the garlic and bouillon. Though I did find a Chinese supermarket in Mission with cheap pre-chopped garlic.

Cloudkick works for Heyzap without changing anything we did before. It just gives us more visibility into Slicehost. Plus I am excited about where they are going.

I disagree. If they are smart and a good developers they could earn €100K in a normal job (10yrs experience lets say). Is 2-3x increase in salary worth the risk of possible jail time? Also instead they could do other entrepreneurial things

Lets say you spend 5k/month on servers which seems low and have 5 employee that get 60k/year each after taxes that only leaves 700k or so. Tax that a bit and maybe split that between 2 or 3 founders and it is not much more than a normal sal

Does the sales letter format really convert better than a normal site format (menu items at the top and a big buy link at the top and nice layering). I looked at the parrot site and I had a hard time finding the buy button.
