In theory I like this, but it raises the question of how it would work in practice; in practice people create non-sorted lists and then sort them in-place. Maybe you could have the sort method return a sorted-token that certifies that a giv

Some people could manage their health much better than the current system. Other people would totally try to cure their cancer with vitamin c. A parallel that comes to mind is "accredited investors". These are people that have cho

For the c-programmer adding a dependency is so difficult that he would rather use a roll his own 99% solution than use a library. It does protect him from supply chain attacks, I suppose.

It's not that simple. People in constant contact have in fact maintained separate cultures in some instances. I think what makes it different this time is that we are using science to find the best culture. "How should we behave t

This is very nice, but I can see a way to optimize it even further. Consider pi[i:i+10] and pi[i+1:i+11] they are highly similar. Intuitively it seems that storing them both seems wasteful. But how can we avoid storing them both? This is wh

Maintanance is hard, but there is a solution. Design the robots out of materials that can be found in space. Then make them capable of reproduction. Then you can just scrap damaged robots as long as you can replace them fast enough. This al

There's also the fact that the map is fixed rather than procedurally generated, that there is a story with voice acting and plenty of lore scattered. To me the differences are large enough that I don't consider it minecraft-like.

Of these, I'm familiar with Enshrouded. Although I suppose it's voxel based in a sense it's not really voxel-based like minecraft is. Like instead of displaying the voxels as is, the game interpolates them into smooth shapes.
