Yet another C++ web library. There's, like, one per month on NH.

It looks like the only platform that had production-level ObjC library was NeXT/OS X.

tautology is repeating something which is obvious. oxymoron is something that doesn't make any sense. "trendy" is something new that exceptional people to, contrary to what everybody does. "trendy for average" is wtf.

I was told that I should use Changes | Local and Changes | Incoming in IDEA. If it really works (didn't check) then IDEA would be fine. Still I'd prefer these modes to be merged.

"You no understand" (c) The Italian Man Who Went To Malta I'm not asking for a visual merge "when there are conflicts". I'm asking for a visual merge NOW; because I said so . Because if it fails to produce the said visual merge, it gets t

So you are assuming that there exist a developer for which Java was trendy until recently. And that now C# is trendy for the same developer. Anyway, "trendy for average" is oxymoron.

I do not understand what's "automatically"? I want to see which changes are due, and which changes are to be imported. Like one does in eclipse under Team -> Synchronize with repository. I fail to find such a mode in IDEA. Noone is yet

Suddently. However, I had my cow orker try it another day, and we've failed to find a way to visually synchronize project with repository, like you do in Eclipse. Therefore, threw it out.

When someone lists "C/C++/C#" (not "Java/C#" or "C/C++/D" or "C/ObjC/C++") this typically means two things: - He's judging language proximity by their name instead of their traits. - He doesn't know other languages (often: his experience is

By putting c# in the same league as c++ and this ooc, you've automatically tagged yourself as clueless.

Everyone and their ORM. Yeah, I've wrote one in Java, internally, too. But why announce it without code examples, feature lists and praises about issues with ORMs it would fix?

My worst professional failure was adding Hibernate to my project at work. I was charmed by their prospects, everyone reviewing it positively and quality of their docs. It turned out that I've spent more time making Hibernate do whatever I n

Brilliant developers are interchangeable to some extent - the result is descent every time regardless of who's doing it this time. But I'm afraid they want something different.

In computer science, declarative programming is a programming paradigm that expresses the logic of a computation without describing its control flow. XSLT does describe control flow pretty explicitly; most functional languages I know, too.

WTF is "Declarative" and how XSLT is declarative? XSLT is functional! XSLT/XPath can also be statically typed: XSLT compilers happily infer types of all expressions in their XPath.
