How much control can you get in one of these things? Are the drivers open source? Could you install GNU/Linux and get a full FOSS system? Since Chromebit also has an USB port, could you boot an untrusted desktop or laptop with it?

Can anyone tell what are the differences between a TinyCoreLinux image and a Rumpkernel, and the practical implications of those differences?

Back in the 80s and 90s there was a lot of media and memes (as in ideas, not the funny images) that Japan was the land of robots. Even a Japanese version of the human evolution chart where the last stage was a mecha. But it seems to me that

I'm just curious. Does the playbook have any game-changing ideas from what was told at the Startup Class videos? And BTW, thanks for all the info YC has been putting out there for free.

Does the book teach you how to be a good storyteller? BTW, thanks for this one [1]. I'll be reading it, and similar material, really soon (had it bookmarked here.) Regarding my comment, I should have explained myself better in any case

It will be interesting indeed but also worrisome. China also has plans for Mars and it has no collaborative efforts with the ISS. How much land will it claim? And how many colonies will demand secession? edited: typo :)
