Metro never had this much transparency ingrained in the UX - and where it had, it was tastefully done with no/minimal accessibility concerns - doesn't seem like a valid comparison. Windows 8, especially 8.1 was a very pretty piece

OMG, I expected bad but not this bad. How did designers ever think this will fly is beyond mind-blowing. Visual disturbance is off the charts. I am just hoping it to have good accessibility options to turn whatever-this-is off immediately.

Thanks. Signifiers looks like a perfect fit here since they are elements which signify their affordance. It should ideally get more mainstream instead of someone inventing a new word.

I think this is the crux. Nobody likes to fail, kids included. And their attention span is wonky too so they may not see much value in learning from failure/s since there are so many other attractive things asking for their attention a

OP might have meant that pinch and zoom is locked in and that’s why they can’t zoom into that screenshot? Edit: I can zoom in perfectly in my browser - Safari on iPhone - here.

It’s really not that simple. AirPods settings where you can tune audio for vocal range, balanced tone, brightness or your audiogram - which does much more fine tuning to the sounds you hear than just amplification.

I live in India and I have been using hearing aid feature since at least March when I bought Airpods Pro. Only that it wasn’t called as such earlier. It uses the audiogram I had provided it which it used to create a customized equalizer for

Did you try enabling grayscale in iPad and perhaps with a paper like screen protector? I use one such with my iPad Pro and it’s surprisingly pretty effective for me.

I know what you mean. I am in India. Hearing aids are exorbitantly priced here and there is no Costco. I will definitely go for more professional ones once I can afford them, and not just buying them, but losing them too.

That’s incorrect. I have been using Airpods Pro for 7 months now for my hearing loss. They do boost sounds in transparency mode if you choose to.
