I notice that Spotify on iOS is much quieter than Apple Music. Perhaps codec related too?

I hope this doesn’t sound rude, but the number of people who mention Cloudflare as some kind of MITM threat and then also use a cloud provider with elastic load balancer and god knows what else at the same time is staggering - and just plai

It’s not that bad if driven sensibly: I’ve seen 40MPG (Imperial) from these cars on long trips. The trouble is it’s almost impossible to be sensible where there is a twin turbo V8 at your feet waiting to be unleashed. What’s the range like

Not just Mercedes, there is the new BMW M5 which will do 0-60mph in 3.1 seconds ( https://youtu.be/hxsBUkm9vBs ), Audi RS6 Performance and Porsche Panamera Turbo/Turbo S. A those cars have beautiful interiors, fit 2 kids

I really dislike this trend that Tesla are setting where their customers are little more than beta testers and I fear that the other automakers will follow in their footsteps. When I purchase a car, whether it be Ford, Tesla or VW, panel ga

Not on the U.S GPA grade, but I have two top grade degrees in the U.K. - one Undergraduate (1:1) and one Masters (Distinction) - known as Grad school in the U.S. It comes up quite often in interviews and I think it gives me a strong foundat

A lot of us would love to work in the U.S - but just not until the current political climate changes. There is no doubt that U.S workers are paid much more than those in London or other European cities. To answer the question, see cageface’

You’re right, I don’t have a big sample size, but most of the Brits and Europeans I speak to in our office and at meet ups are not at all comfortable with the situation in the U.S and want to wait and see what happens. Heck, even the Americ

I hate to mention this because I’m afraid to get downvoted to pieces, but there are a lot of European citizens who would not work in the U.S given the current political situation. Of course this can (and I hope will) change at the next elec

This is disappointing to read, but an understandable point of view from someone who isn’t into their cars. The issue is there are two kinds of modders: those who mod for the track and those who mod for street racing. I’d bet that OP has exp

A DNS request/response, TCP handshake, SSL handshake and last but not least an HTTP request/response is an awful lot of 210ms round trips.

The excessive mempool size caused a lot of trouble for us when attempting to read it from bitcoind. Since the mempool was so large, JSON-RPC requests were taking upwards of 15-20 seconds. I’m surprised such a critical endpoint is so sub-opt

IMO The point of the rules are to remove as much subjection and interpretation to how road users should behave as possible. For example, what should the rules be when overtaking other riders? Should I overtake on the outside or the inside?

It is NOT OK to go through red lights, whether in a car, on a bike or on foot. The rules are the rules and we should all abide them. It happens all the time in London where bikes go through red lights and weave through pedestrians (sometime

There are also some unsolved challenges with Multipath TCP, at least last time I studied it in 2014/2015. For example, when multiple good links are available, Multipath TCP will tend to flip flap between them rather than stabilise on o

Not necessarily, you could be doing both at the same time. This is actually quite popular, as a kind of Grand Tour. For example, a driving tour of the French Alps would, I think, count as driving for pleasure, especially when you could take

What is your opinion on flying for pleasure (i.e vacation)? We know that flying too is very damaging for the environment and creates terrible noise pollution. Would love to hear your thoughts on this!
