This looks like an interesting project. It combines a number of other open source components like Puppet, Pulp, Candlepin, and Foreman into a management application that has both a Rails front end or Python-based CLI.

You just need an account with some liquidity on every exchange. You could automate an HFT bot that executes a buy order on one exchange and a sell order on the other simultaneously.

Interesting article. While it is entirely possible to do this, professional traders will soon move in and arbitrage any price differences between exchanges. As competition increases, amateur exchanges that manipulate the price will suffer

Bitcoin will recover, but right now it is going through a liquidity crisis: Only a small percentage of BTC users were using Tradehill, a competitive BTC exchange. People have rushed to create accounts there, however it takes a few days to

I didn't mean to imply they would intentionally do that to take out competition, although that is indeed a possibility. The main purpose of having a stolen virtual server would be to launch attacks from. The truth is even if you rented a v

A popular method used by hackers is to sign up for a virtual server with a stolen credit card. If they are careful and only access it through a proxy, their hacking attempts are virtually untraceable. With the amount of hacking going on l

KeePassX is still vulnerable to a keylogger on your local machine. LastPass with 2-factor auth should be more secure than KeePassX, however, your point about it being proprietary is well taken. I also think LastPass has a very good reputati

The MtGox breach inspired me to switch to LastPass. I used to do what you did, and MtGox was part of my "medium security" tier. Now, I've decided that there is no real effective solution other than randomly generated passwords unique to ea

I don't think that would work here. It would be like a TV station claiming they didn't have to broadcast the caption stream because they were just retransmitting content from a media company. Bottom line is the ADA says you must broadcast
