They don't seem to be paying these people anything. Seems a tad exploitative, cult like, and possibly illegal? First rule of working is you get paid.

Yes, for many workloads C/C++ is faster, and often lots faster. However, we are now close with dynamic languages for some workloads. Dynamically typed languages are doing AOT compilation and also starting to get very good type inference, s

Wow, this guys knowledge is wrong. Dynamic languages can be faster than C now, and are only improving. Implementations like pypy, and luajit2 really are rocking. JavaScript implementations are also getting real fast. C++ doesn't need to u

Ouch. Maybe shouldn't have admitted it was derivative of the Apple logo. They'll definitely have to look for another one now.

Is anyone else too heads-down-busy working on their apps/projects to submit an application? I feel that it would be a waste of time. Kind of like entering the lottery.

Hi, You are completely right. You have not tried a 4S, so you're just making stuff up. Like your comment about time travel. I'm sure that time travel can not be done by the apple people, unless they know Michael J Fox. Which I guess they

So many independant stations are struggling trying to sell gas. If there was a market, and an easy system for someone to buy then it would do really well.

Take those little 3d printers and then make it the side of a 4 story house. Now make it print using sand/glass/metal all in one pass. Now increase the resolution up to 5000dpi or so.

Yeah, customised workflows are great. Resources can always help though. An SSD vs a HD, 64GB of ram compared to 1GB, 16 fast CPU cores vs 1 slow core, will all help with development. Things like integration servers and such can help too.

There's lots to learn from Mr Carmack, and other impressive programmers for that matter. He had/has an amazing talent for producing truly great work at great speed. Is it just magic that he can do this? Or does he have techniques that hel

Unlikely to happen soon I reckon. That's way heaps of work for them to do on the security side. They'll need to do lots of work with 3d drivers. You can do some pretty nice things with 3d transforms. I've done some nice things anyways :)

Shedskin compiles python to C++. It's getting quite good too. You can compile up to 10,000 lines within an acceptable time now. It is a subset of python though, so more dynamic things do not work. You can also get it to compile as a CPyt
