Good idea. However, there are lots more investors in the LA-SF region. This proposal is also a hack around government rules. This 'bid' is 9% the cost of the train bid, and there is already a government budget for it. The comp

Definitely think about it before just doing it though... Disabling compression can break some apps. Especially when they rely on huge compression ratios for text (5-10 times ratio is common for with much json for example). So that is not

I can't see an architecture doc, or other docs describing the build toolchain. Since pypy doesn't use commonly used build tools (or does it?) porting is going to be harder than something that uses a well know build toolchain like

Places that produce creative work are often plain. It makes the work stand out more. Also, I think if the work is boring you'd want a more creative space. However, these just seem wacky and zany. Often tech people have really bad ta

Lol. One of the oldest and largest UK newspapers was forced to close by the government, and it's editor has been arrested. Along with the editor a number of journalists were arrested. Yes, the UK does lock up journalists. During the 2

Good point. Most projects do it this way, and I think it's kind of good to have a high level summary like this. However, I've also seen projects that also link to specific related issues -- or even better blog pages, or document

The benchmarks are a little bit misleading for some types of code. They do not measure single run code well. In these cases pypy doesn't do as well as when the JIT has warmed up. The interpreter is slower than the CPython one. For code w
