That means it's an accurate emulator! There's a reason Speccy had a word-per-key input mode for programming

Around 2016 or so I had concluded that game dev has just stopped being fun, but luckily a friend talked me into trying pico-8. It's hard to describe what this little piece of software did for me, pure white magic! Just around New Year

Great job, I am partial to such tools! We used both Bitsy and Twine at work for single-day game jams, as such experience teaches valuable skills. I'll definitely want to use Downpour for the next one.

True, but let's not forget that the US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin declared the US goal in Ukraine is to 'weaken Russia'. Puts a different perspective on what winning means.

Was Lizardking a pioneer in that regard? I had quite a collection of musicdisks back in the day but never wondered about their origin. It just made sense that musicians got to strut their stuff the same way the coders and 'graphicians&

Looks like you missed rent, healthcare and public transport in your list there. For anyone wondering how relevant is public transport, in Sydney I couldn't do anything without a car, in Vienna I can't find a good use for one.

Check out invoke.ai for an example of something much closer to a professional tool.

I don't have proof but I strongly suspect that it being a web app is a loophole preventing Adobe from taking legal action. There were some electron forks floating on GitHub but they got taken down.

Can someone with serious regard for quality of discussion on HN please explain why is this comment being downvoted?

Precisely the reason for the character assassination of Flash at the hands of Steve Jobs. I am still curious if some attempted deal with Adobe failed precessing it.

What do you mean? I can't find a definition of talent that doesn't state it as 'innate' or 'natural'.

I started the post by stating that I know no disrespect was meant. It is precisely in this context that I want to clarify how this very common way of expressing artist appreciation can, and often does, rub the recipient the wrong way. Anecd

I got so fed up with this that I've been determined to find a replacement ecosystem. I can now wholeheartedly recommend the Affinity suite that is not only subscription-free, but clearly shows the innovation cost of Adobe's busine

Figma has its own problems, at least in a company/team setting. I'm not 100% certain how it happens, but it seems that when you follow a link without having an account, it offers to easily 'register' and then silently ad

Agree it's terrible SEO but eventually "Murder engine" might be decent enough. At least it's edgy or lol or punk or or whatever box it ticked. The beauty of having the freedom to do whatever and see what it does for you.

I know no disrespect was meant, but calling an artist talented disregards the hard work that went into developing their skills. Unless you are talking about someone's unrealised potential.

6581 units are so wildly different re filter behaviour that most game musicians of the time avoided using filters altogether! 8580 is basically a fix, and had way more consistency

I suggest reading up on the subject now that enough time had passed that information is more readily available. The KLA was designated as a terrorist organisation by (among others) Amnesty International and the FBI itself removed it from it

You don't need AI, just a government willing to abuse the most vulnerable. Check out the Australian "robodebt" fiasco [1] [1] https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robodebt_scheme

I have the same problem and no real solution. FWIW I've been able to make my (mid-range android) phone last for 7+ years now by uninstalling some apps whenever memory becomes an issue. Also I update apps only when forced.
