I was able to remove babel few weeks ago in one of my projects when webpack started to support class properties natively. The project in question only supports evergreen browsers. So nice to have super simple build config. I have nothing ag

I don't know what the situation is with the C++ development. But in general, based on my experience on standardization work, it's really hard to stop a committee from inventing new features when the members get paid to participate

I hope too it can keep following the rover for some time. Hardest part might be to alter Perseverance's schedule accordingly I guess. Additional data transfers need to be planned. Preferably Perseverance needs to take some images duri

My guess is that they prefer to sell more than one device to everybody, so not anytime soon. Really interested to hear Apple’s excuse not allowing to run MacOS on M1 iPad pro with an external monitor and keyboard. The standard "optimiz

There is indeed some contradiction in concluding that your situation is a special enough to write an article about it to New York magazine and then say in the article that "At this point in my life, nothing is going to change"

Got the similar feeling. At least the author is not far yet with her thinking process. If it's 6 million after taxes, there are so many possibilities. No mention of considering stop working and doing what she truly likes to do.

If I had to bet, I'd say Bezos's wealth won't increase today. Amazon is -2.35% in pre-market right now. He will instead probably lose more than any of us has ever made. I get the idea of the counter but it gives a little too

It helps to think that odds for not selling during the first peak are quite close to 0%, at least for me. Other outcome would have meant very stressful last years.

I've been wondering this myself too. Lockdowns are so expensive that I'd assume every unconventional method to expand the production is taken into use. The situation is bad but not so bad that competitors could be forced to work t

I live in Europe and decided to buy an apartment from a building that has been constructed in 1936. Brick walls are about 2ft thick, no issues with the neighbor noise. Still happy with my choice. I think it's the same everywhere. Const

I've wondered about this too. 5G is a marketing and umbrella term. Is it the new radio protocol, MIMO enhancements, new bands, or something else these people are actually afraid of?
