Well, you ask a hard question. I learned my basics of leadership in Alpha Phi Omega - National Service Fraternity (also met my wife who is also a brother.) Communication, Alpha Phi Omega, and also a course from Harvard's Negotiation Te

My $0.02 as an ex Team Lead, and I've been offered management a few times. 1. Leadership is a taught skill. Most people DO NOT realize this. People aren't natural born leaders. You learn by learning the principles of leadership

Alas, they decided the underwear bomber was also a big threat... Thus the MM wave machines where they can see your privates. https://www.nbcnews.com/id/wbna38561251 is a good example. The TSA is a bad idea done badly.

To first success? A month? Not sure. The hard part is all up front. The first solve you do is the hardest, it took me 30m+. I'd also recommend learning M2 over OP for edges. I used Noah's guide back when. M2 is so much faster

I was working in the airline industry when this happened. My girlfriend (now wife) and I had just started on the way into work, we signaled each other over to the side of the road, and talked for a few moments... and I headed in to work. I

If you can solve the cube, I'd encourage you to learn 3BLD. Or, solving a 3x3 blindfolded. Solving the cube was cool... Memorizing the cube and solving it and taking off the blindfold to see a solved cube, is really damn cool. I reme

GAN's really fallen in recent years. There's a ton of good cubes out there, but unless you go back to the Gan 12, not worth it. I haven't really turned a 3x3 for speed in a while.. but at the end I was using a Tornado V2, ch

It is a continuum. Your light switches are close to the Alexa side of it alas. Yes, we should. But alas, the incentives run the exact reverse today. Today they get to monitor your usage of the lights, resell the data, etc. You are part o

I don't want my TV to "expire". I want to be able to use it with a gumstick if I still like it! I think of IOT devices as a continuum: One one end, Alexa and friends, which is a brick without Amazon. Good luck fixing that i

I never said to kill it. I said to kill it's IOT functionality. There is a very big difference. Think of a washing machine. It'll still wash clothes... it may not ping the internet portal anymore, it isn't "safe"

Maybe we need to approach it differently? There will always be an "End of Life" date. And there will always be a user using the product beyond it. So my question is: How do we make it safe? My first thought is a "deadman

It is a commentary as valid today, as it was when I started and wrote a few articles on the c2 wiki. If you all agree on the manifesto.. at least you can ask questions, and then see how it all fits together. IMHO: If the question "why&

Quite untrue. There is this thing called "Bridge Judgement" that you are allowed to use. Just because your hand has 10 HCP... but has 13 spades... doesn't mean you will pass. You'll bid your 7 Spades and call it a day.
