The hardware mute on Amazon Alexa's is actually supposed to be a real mute, and on the Echo 5 we have, there's a hardware shutter over the camera. Once the hardware mute is engaged, I've not had the Alexa reply. Don't ge

Not true at all. You forget the importance of rest itself in self improvement. Understanding how to improve, is a lifelong journey. Understanding how much to work, how much to rest, how much to sharpen the sword, how much you can mix those

To ignore what happens when if the "other side" wins a race, is ignorant. Imagine the Germans nuking London in 1941. Imagine the chilling effect this might have on the US public's willingness to enter WWII? To say something

Why not work WITH one or more of those companies? Partner with some firms, and you get the testimonials you need, and the expertise. At the "cost" of less profit upfront. What does partner mean? It could be as little as telling

The event horizon you describe is always there. Be it 3D printing, AI, moore's law... etc... The things these things enable, are hard to predict. Think about cloud computing. It changes the game massively for startups and for people

It doesn't really. DPDK/SPDK are ways to directly to use the device involved. io_uring is a way to manage event flow between the kernel and userspace.

I think colorblindness is often overlooked by theme authors, etc. The ability to adjust a theme to suit my needs as a colorblind user, is something I found pretty cool, and something I hope becomes more common.

The compute side needs to be solved with money. That may be a hurdle for DDG/Kagi. MS has the money. Data is by far and away the hardest part, and DDG's own privacy policies etc will hurt it here, alas. Personally, I think it is

People seem to forget: AI is about data, the ability to process it, and having a few smart folks to do algorithms. The third part is actually the smallest and easiest part of the trilogy for AI. Google, has all three. The real question is

No, not every problem is solvable. If my boss asks me if 1+1=3, I will never tell him it does. There are managers who want to hear 1+1=3. And won't accept anything less. There are managers who actively look to destroy people. It ha
