I usually like satire, but this felt too obvious. Subtlety is in my opinion a key part of good satire. Otherwise it feels too forced or too in-your-face. But as the specialist external reader said: "Stross can clearly write workmanlike

But EULA _are_ (generally) not enforcable. It obviously depends, sometimes it is and sometimes not. I know for example in Sweden EUla are not enforcable at all.

I have been aware of this since I tried to use Let's Encrypt with an IDN domain name. Back then, IDN-certificates were not allowed because of security concerns, but this has apparantly changed since then.[1] I hope this will get fixed,

When purchasing electronics haggling isn't really very common. The haggling comes when you buy in bulk. But you're right, if you buy things on a market in Asia; haggle!

Where I live (eastern Sweden) we all say "trådlös", so almost "trådfri". But IKEA have many names that either sound like gibberish or are just strange.

That was fun, easy to understand and informative. He shows how he debugs real errors and builds a decent product pretty quickly. The only complaint is that his voice was drowned in music in the intro.
