There is also the documented way of running git commands straight from magit [1]. I am leaving this here, in case it may help you with those times that you have to go to the command-line. [1] https://magit.vc/manual/mag

There is this guide [1] that I had bookmarked on my phone, but I never got to actually read it fully and use it. [1] https://marek-g.github.io/posts/tips_and_tricks/emacs_on_and...

If this brings us non-Webkit browsers on iOS, I think it's still a victory.

I think the most popular implementation of json with comments is now the VSCode `settings.json`, so maybe that gets developers to slowly adopt such an extension.

So simple and so elegant. Would it be a good idea to make the click copy the color in the clipboard? Not the color code, of course, in the spirit of the website.

I always saw it as a rebranding of "trickle down", but for private companies and individuals.

Lisp programmers usually use the term "REPL" closer to its original form. read, eval, print, loop are primitives in Lisps. They consider what other languages call a "REPL" to be interpreters or mere command-line interact

`git add -p` should do it. git works great by "patches", not necessarily by "files", so what you are saying is supported out of the box really well.

I remember already being able to use certain stackexchanges with kiwix before, as well as the arch wiki, wikipedia without images, and some other great resources. It is nice to see that they actually pay attention to this use-case and I loo

Don't you have to shift the arguments, so that `$1` does not also end in `filez`?

I think `direnv` [1] may be closer to `asdf` than this. They also mention it, and the integration, `asdf-direnv` on their website [2]. [1] https://direnv.net/ [2] https://asdf-vm.com/guide/introduction.

Yes, I completely missed the `100` parameter to `read`. And as a sibling comment said, I also understand them to be suggestions, but in this case, I think `read()` and `read(param)` should be treated as two separate cases, or at least this

I looked at the example for some time now, and I don't understand what exactly the problem is. Is it the missing `import pathlib` and then `pathlib.Path...`? Is using `read_text()` bad style?

I assume it is more of the "if the parent leaves me, I am going to die" reflex that is ingrained in babies, so the danger is great enough to warrant panic, even though it is improbable. Plus, very young kids don't have object

If we are to trust a certain philosophy based on simplicity, one of the _very hard_ things you have to do as a head maintainer of software is to have the ability to say no when that case arises.
