Just want to point out it's not that far out there to terminate 100gbps without breaking the bank these days. 1x Mellanox ConnectX-5 Dual Port 100GbE NIC ~$400 (single port ~$200), Brocade ICX6610/6650 ~$150/$600, then a hard

Several thousands an hour is a bit of a stretch, maybe you meant monthly? but your point still stands. For those interested: right now the largest instance I see is a u-12tb1.112xlarge (448 vCPUs, 12 TB RAM, 100 gb networking) which is ~$10

If you're referring specifically to ADSL then yes, however VDSL is passable, typically 100 down/10 up. Fiber would be ideal, but not worth 4-5x the price IMO (currently paying $33/month).

I think changing a key because it was compromised is a little different compared to changing archive behavior, and can be afforded a little leeway with advance notice.

That's the whole point, it wasn't an enforced contract but just happened to not change in a long time so it was assumed to be part of the contract. The majority of users don't know how exactly GitHub is serving these archives

Not if you have ample time to move everyone to safety before it arrives. Seems a good trade off to make if you aren't confident what the pilot's intentions are instead of just blowing them out of the sky.

Z-Wave devices are almost universally better (longer battery life, longer range, more reliable, etc.) than Zigbee (I have both). Not sure if this is based on price (Z-Wave devices being more expensive), certification, different radio freque

Thread is a mesh IPv6 based network that operates over the 2.4 GHz ISM band but is not WiFi. Matter is a communication protocol built on top of Thread, WiFi, and BLE (and potentially others in the future).

Brake yes, I don't see how it would help tire wear (assuming you slow down at the same speed). Electric cars typically have higher tire wear because of the increased weight + typically higher torque/acceleration.

But the open source code is still there, the community is always able to fork and continue development. True, that rarely happens, but does occasionally (e.g. Emby -> Jellyfin).

Do they discount shipping for multiple items ordered? In that case I personally think having shipping separate makes sense, as 2 $5 items shipped might be e.g. $16 total not $20.

No one said it's possible to design a site without JavaScript, just that for the vast majority of the internet, including sites user's rely on, it's unusable without it enabled.
