This sounds like where I am right now. Made some bad choices in alignment and I'm flat. Maybe I'll crawl out, maybe I won't. I have an exit strategy though, so in the long run, it will pay off.

In my next life, I want this. I work 4x what you do but make double. It's very often not worth it. Your priorities are right. When my cost of living goes down, I'll join you.

Thank you for the clarification. The descriptions I'm seeing imply that your telemetry code is embedded in network enabled devices. It's good to know that this data collection only applies to your whitebox.

Thank you. I appreciate the response. My ISP can do what they want with their equipment but I prefer anything inside my firewall to not phone home.

As someone raised in a major religion who opted out, I can confirm that I quickly became an outside to my religious community. I don't feel it was much of a loss though. The only reason I knew those people was church. This is probably

Yes. It's a pro-birth movement, not life. Life lasts a long time and that's expensive and "something she should have thought about before having kids" or some such gymnastics. These same folks will gladly spit on a child

When everyone is a contractor, you actually have to treat them they way too. That means there are benefits and supportive actions you cannot take or they become an employee by the implication. Then you may have to setup a local business, co

We have a pretty geographically diverse remote team. It's wildly complicated to deal with, both from a team side and the HR side. Coordinating conversations with everyone when they're spread all over the world leaves very few poss

None of this is true. It doesn't encourage password reuse but it does protect against it. I've also never found a single site that wouldn't let me reset MFA, even if the support process was painful and slow. FWIW, password r

When you have infinite resources and a propensity for NIH, you can do a lot. GUTS is far superior to most ITIL projects but it will never see the light of day. It wasn't always good though. It was Remedy first and it evolved slowly awa

Better is subjective. It's less flexible now and it's not perfect. It has arbitrary constraints that make things hard (no cross Jira project tracking, wtf?) but it's as good as anything else and it's familiar.

I'd say the automation is better but more complicated. I feel bad for ZenHub. The new GitHub Projects is good enough that you can stop using ZenHub and not miss much. I think GitHub just killed their business. I love they cross proje

One of the things we struggle with is cross repo consistency. Take something like labels. They apply at the repo level and not the project level, so when you add issues from multiple repos, managing labels becomes an administrative task. V
