Thanks for explaining! I guess I expected a more tight/direct analogy to the original divorce scenario (kids feeling neglected because their parents left them with other adults in the lake house?)

So I’m not sure what exactly are you finding bad about this? Or did I misinterpret your post (specifically about the “anger”, why should describing a positive experience all around elicit anger)?

I guess it depends on the age of the children, but beyond a certain age wouldn't it be fun to spend a few weeks with a bunch of other kids in a summer home?

Do you think growing up with parents that would rather not live together would have given you a better experience? Not asking cynically, genuinely curious. Nobody marries expecting to divorce.

I'm sorry if this drudges up unpleasant memories, but can you elaborate about what was terrible about it? Was it about having to change homes every week?

I wouldn't quite put matzah in the same boat as "food that came out of hardship", as the exodus is a founding myth & even if partially based on true events these events happened about 3500 years ago. Furthermore Jews toda

That's a good thing, right? What used to require a human toiling will then be made by a machine!

There is literally an IT workers union in Austria (when we lived there every job came with a minimum pay based on Kollektivvertrag for the role - you could get more than the minimum of course).

I read it as that being the point - that back then even starbucks made their employees cover their tattoos. That's why it seemed like a big deal to OP that Amazon didn't.

Minor nitpick: Apple moved from PowerPC, POWER was the earlier IBM ISA that PowerPC was based on (and is partially compatible with).

I wouldn't say "being young" is that relevant after a couple centuries. Nobody in the US today knows someone who witnessed the declaration of independence (unlike, say, in Israel or India).

I don't know the answer but I think investors at the very least expect you to invest the money they give you, not just keep it for a rainy day. I don't know how much leverage they will have to make you spend it.
