But the Yiddish speaking culture of Ashkenazi Jews was also erased. At the founding of Israel the ideology was "we're all Israelis now, so speak Hebrew and forget your experience in the diaspora ( https://en.wikipedia.or

If 44.9% (or more) of Israeli Jews are of Middle Eastern descent, and 20% of Israel’s entire population are Palestinian Arabs (I.e. also of Middle Eastern descent) then more than 50% of the entire population of the country (Jews + non-Jews)

I am talking about Jews in Israel. They are a bit more than half Mizrahi/Sephardi/Beta-Israel (not European) and a bit less than half Ashkenazi (European). The vast majority of Sephardi and Mezrahi in Israel are from what are now

Where in the link [2] does it say that most Israeli Jews are of European decent? Just over half are not Ashkenazi (mostly Jews from the Middle East, Western and central Asia and Ethiopia). Additionally about 20% of Israeli citizens are Pale

I'm pretty sure it's pretty much like that in most other countries (at least most other European countries). I believe its the US/UK that are unusually easy to open a company in.

As someone running a business in Germany I think you're overestimating it. I have a steuerberater (accountant/tax-advisor) who is also doing my bookkeeping and he takes care of all that. When my UG was young paying him was a few €

I had a very similar computer (100mhz Pentium instead 75mhz) bought in late 1995 and it was not obscenely expensive. It’d be a high end machine for 1994 and obsolete by the late 90s (by 2000 AMD were selling athlons at >= 1Ghz)

Did the livestock and cultivated plants we depend on for food exist during the greenhouse states? Did humans? There’s no doubt the earth and life will survive, but our civilization may see extreme turbulence (100s of millions of people dyin

At least in Israel apartments are much better ventilated than in Germany - there are usually multiple directions with windows (e.g. windows on 3 air directions, so you can open all the windows and get good circulation), a lot of apartments

Buildings in northern Europe are just not built for ventilation, AC and dealing with heat. It’s not a matter of looking, that’s just not how people build here (just like people in Israel don’t build building that handle cold weather well).

Here in Berlin I’d much rather the traditional 25c summers over the 35c+ summer of ’22 (fortunately ’23 summer was relatively mild and rainy). I do appreciate the mild winters tho!

Unity is not self updating, you have to update yourself. And they have versions from a long time ago available for install.

These days a lot of what you need is simply the right version of Unity or Unreal installed. You’re definitely correct for pre-unity times tho.

I don't know how wealthy Locke was, but people generally ate less back then cause food was less readily available. Meat was more of a special occasion rather than everyday staple like it is for a lot of Europeans today.
