My mom can't install that herself, and wouldn't be able to find information on how to do it by browsing the freedombox website. It's so obvious that the current freedombox website is targeted at computer geeks only and not ge

There is good reason: it's bad for software businesses. Even if you had a turnkey solution (it doesn't exist yet) to self-host emails & stuff, the companies selling it wouldn't be able to get good search engine rankings.

Any good static site generator can be learned in an hour. You shouldn't search only for people who already know the static site generator you plan to use: any good developer that uses the CLI will have no problem using it.

In the case of some front-end tools, they are an absolute must. When your CSS compiler takes care of all the stupid -webkit-/-moz-/... prefixes, allow you to define variables, mixins, use loops, you gain a great amount of power an

I could see this being a really interesting way of having a slim and upgradable raspberry-pi-powered tablet . Year after year, you could upgrade the SoC and memory while keeping your case+screen+screeniopcb+batterypcb+battery.

I would have appreciated if people in general chose a license before releasing font files. Right now, I have no idea if I'm able to use the font for a website or for a mobile application. You may provide .woff and @font-face .css ,

There is no need to wait to question the motivations behind an annoucement. Why should there be a 'mourning period' for news, where it wouldn't be appropriate to criticize?

It is. I'd prefer if bullet points were used sparingly though, you could just make use of headings and paragraphs. A very long list of points looks unstructured and is more difficult to read.

As far as the clone itself uses CSS transforms (if it's Cordova/Phonegap based), it should be fine and usable on mobile. You can recognize the clones using Cordova/Phonegap/Webview if they use the exact same style as G.C

It could also just mean that you should expect 'focusing weirdness' when you adapt to the rift, for the first few days. It could be harmless. Humans are masters at adaptation. I guess we should just wait and see.
