Browser vendors can guarantee privacy the same way that the best (independently audited, opens source) encrypted messaging clients can guarantee privacy. It's not rocket science, but it's never been a goal of browser vendors.

I don't think Iraq or Afghanistan got those $14 trillion. Iraqi infrastructure is worse than it was under Saddam, and society is much poorer... and in civil war. The money went to friends of corrupt US administrations and military cont

"Likely to ne related to the strength of the patents" means that the patents have been scrutinized by the court and determined to be invalid. But that is not the case.

"you’re going to lose on all these patent claims ..." because Uber is no longer using them. Waiting to be asked by the judge to drop them is the only valid political chess move they had. Withdrawing them without being asked would

The Web in Chains. The symbolism behind the "inventor" of the web signing on this is sending the wrong message to the young ones (the new generation) that idealism must give way to pragmatism and money interests. Terrible, IMO.

I've seen Tal's talks and based on his passion and enthusiasm I do not see Wix moving away from RN, for as long as FB actively pushes RN forward. If FB drops it that's a different story. NativeScript does not support GL/

Misleading title. Makes it sound like they were wrong and are backing off. The patents being dropped are those which Uber is no longer using but was using at some point in their prototypes. There remains one key patent that Uber is still us

You're very arogant in your stance so no amount of chipping away at your ego will help. I get that single-platform developers (those not targeting N platforms with one codebase) don't get the idea of cross-platform DX and what des

Most of your reaction is anger and hate. That cannot be the truth. The truth is always balanced. If you were right then all of us who love React Native and have used it to build amazing cross-platform UX are wrong or have less insight than

Every new technology is feared at first. I have $0 in Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency and I was there in 2009 when Satoshi was marketing Bitcoin to those of us at the P2P Foundation. I have to say ICOs may be the killer application for

ICO is the new IPO. ICOs will ultimately replace IPOs. Bitcoin is the perfect medium for speculative value. LOL. Enough said.

Right. There is no GPS sync'd atomic clock in Cockroach so I imagine lock requests for a distributed object must use some consensus protocol, and that's overhead. Am I off by a lot?
