The argument against GraphQL in this article (and the article is linked to) is hand-wavy. It just says GraphQL is not secure without going into why and the example is: exposing a field on a record that you shouldn’t - which can happen in RE

I just found out that I can have dark mode HN on my iPhone with Dark Reader. It works incredibly well, doesn’t require me to use a different URL and seems like it’s OSS. Really cool stuff.

Thank you! The vision is to support as many spreadsheet capabilities as possible while retaining the simplest API and a small enough size. So multi-sheet is possible as long as using the component with a single sheet is still simple.

Great stuff! If you'd like to add a spreadsheet to your React / MDX I created a similar small component https://github.com/iddan/react-spreadsheet

Finally a big player is talking about image to vector using generative AI. This will make the lives of graphic designers so much better. No reason that humans will continue to trace images in this day and age

It’s a cliche by this point. But it was proven in research that because peanut puffs (most common brand name is “Bamba”) snacks are so common in Israel the rate of peanut allergy is so low

Every time I had preview environments my life were so much better. There's a clear trend in the industry to let teams collaborate on preview environments (like Figma, but on the actual built version)

I'm not sure if FastAPI is the best competition for this library as it focuses on building REST APIs rather than JSON RPCs, but anyway great work!

Why are these practices not common with web developers? What’s held them back in recent years using it?

This is so cool. I was just thinking a few months ago how much I miss old school forums. Everybody already said it here but Slack is not searchable, and not suited for communal async communication.

For us in FlyCode it's Stigg ( https://stigg.io ). Really streamlined the way we manage subscriptions and define pay blocks. Saved us about two weeks of development work (and we are still pretty small!)
