I wasn't minimizing it at all actually, you made that assumption. :-) I was under the impression that several billionaires are in the business of solving aging (Larry Page comes to mind), but I could be wrong.

There is something fascinating and magical to me about a multi millionaire starting a startup in a seemingly mundane field. No space stuff. No let's stop aging. A time saving app. Cool.

No one is forcing any of those people to buy it. It is not the only way to play video games. Don't like it? Move on with your life.

This is honestly out right depressing to think there are people who extract joy out of these kinds of messages. I know this whole thing is meant to be a joke, but come on, people need to get over themselves. You can live life, have good mom

Oh Diablo. I will never forget how you broke my heart when my hardcore character died because my mom picked up the phone when I was busy slaying demons.

Makes me wish you could buy a kit and assemble your own phone. We need someone like Arduino to come along for this kind of tech. Would be awesome to just pick up my old and faithful Hakko and solder some sensor to a phone.

That's an awesome idea. I'd love to try that one day. Your command isn't valid because it's missing a control character after 'bar', such as ';'. Bash rejects it as well: $ bash -c "foo() {

It boils down to a bunch of heuristics so there are gaps if the man page is slightly off of what it expects.

It doesn't. And I'm not just saying that because there's an agent pointing a gun at me as I type this. Having said that, please don't send sensitive information to a random service on the internet. :)

Wow it's been 4 years? Would you believe it if I told you it's running on the smallest digital ocean instance, backed by MongoDB (!), and the only time I had to do any maintenance on it was when DO turned down the machine I happen

You weren't joking, it is a story. Isn't it kind of unfortunate that all this information is in a commit message, that 1) needs to be discovered through git blame, 2) at risk of requiring code archeology if enough lines change, e.

The same can be said about speech. There's an entire industry on how to be a good speaker. It is very much an acquired skill, perhaps more difficult to master, but very similar to being well written.

There's no mention how the live feature works but I'd guess it's tied into the location services thing you can opt into on Android. I really hope this doesn't turn into yet another death sentence via crowd sourced data (

Are redis scripts still recommended now that redis modules are a thing? One of the pain points of scripting is the lack of test coverage.

This made me shed a tear. I played the piano for years but due to a physical disability I can no longer play like I used to. Pressing the keys, maintaining rhythm and hearing the music come out is the closest feeling I got to what is now a

What happens if another client adds an ignored file and the current one tries to sync? I guess Dropbox will try to create it and fail repeatedly? Neat trick!

This is probably a joke with a reference to Terminator, where T1000 and T800 are "killer" robots. So if those robots obey web standards, they should not kill Larry Page or Sergey Brin when they destroy Google.

I am reading this! Admittedly I haven't had a lot of time recently to improve explainshell. But I haven't deserted it; it's just a matter of finding a block of free days to focus on it. (and as always, patches are welcome ;)

Been living in San Francisco for a few weeks now and it still takes me a minute to figure out which direction I need to take in the Metro. Why they chose such unintuitive names such as Inbound and Outbound baffles me.
