Dan - Excellent guide - very informative! What isn't mentioned is the video side which would be interesting to understand but also how the whole link with the guests thing works would be very interesting to understand too. PS: Love 5by5 - k

I use something similar but a bit simpler to read: location = /index.php { fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:9000; }

The irony is that you could seriously argue that it should be illegal to host a site which DOESN'T hash the passwords!

So would you use Varnish over Nginx as a reverse proxy to Apache? What about an Nginx+FastCGI+PHP-FPM stack? - would you run Varnish in front of that?

Like others already said, that'll be php creating session files, not Nginx. Sure it ran out of inodes and it isn't that /tmp is a ramdisk/tmpfs and only small? - you can change the session path in your php.ini by changing/setting session.sa
