I don't know, I went last year, and was heavily disappointed about how nontechnical all of the talks were that I went to. The whole place was filled with a ton of tech-reporters and a limited amount of actual developers. I didn't bother sig

I've found that most conferences with such a low limit of seats tend not to have student pricing tiers, but I'll bug them, couldn't hurt.

As a student, and a startup employee, I must say that not everyone has the ability to expense their employer.

I totally agree. I was kind of hoping the authors name would be in the source ( http://mta.me/js-conductor/ ) but no such luck. It is pretty interesting code to read through though.

In comparison, living on $45k in California is about reasonable for a single individual.

I'm pretty sure he means land, once you move away from large cities, prices drop like rocks. The house my grandma lived in Missouri sold for on par with three years worth of rent here in California.

Good advice, although I don't think I can trust chart.io as a company when they have a spelling error on their front page. "Chart.io quickly hooks up to your database and lets your create real time charts of the metrics you care about."

Are they using the 4sq reference anywhere besides the Hn title? I kind of think it was a marketing ploy to get people to click through. As for your slogan suggestions, those are pretty amazing. I want an ad recreating Lord of The Rings with

Personally I find them slow, low in quality and poorly designed for smaller screens. Like one of the other comments here mentioned, I would much prefer a wiki or a GitHub gist.

I don't know, I'm not too worried. Currently the people in their 20's were probably raised on video games and they seem to be doing just fine (look at all of the people starting companies and doing cool stuff). I would argue that as a paren

I would argue that KISS is actually a utilitarian choice. I have always interpreted KISS as how do I go from idea to product in the simplest manner, and keep both development, and the users interaction with the product simple. If you look a
