People still use common lisp? ducks In all seriousness, the plugin architecture will certainly allow for exactly that to happen. If you're interested in trying your hand at adding CL, I know a guy who could probably sneak you into the bet

I agree, and I was astounded when I found out they had never done an end to end study of how people use Visual Studio while I was at MSFT. It surprises me how little we really know about the human aspects of our own field. The practical/pra

That is indeed the average amount invested by YC. As stated below in recent batches there has been the startfund blanket investment which used to be $150k and is now $80k. Technically speaking this blanket investment has nothing to do wit

This is actually something I've considered quite a bit and I've come to realize that I think there's a certain amount of megalomania necessary to be a "primary decision maker". You have to genuinely believe that you can make better decision

it probably wouldn't even be that hard, actually - since you could model it pretty closely off of the Clojure one. Either way, though, it's definitely something that the plugin system will enable :)

We're working on this ourselves. With the next release we're doing a full set of docs and we're making a number of things on the setup side easier. Robert and I really want to see people using LT to learn programming and I think we have som

Even if it was covered in the full docs, you shouldn't apologize. Any new entrant in framework territory should be immediately explicit about what advantages it provides.

Just to lend some more credence to this statement, we (LightTable) have actually contracted him to work on CodeMirror and have been nothing but happy with the results. He runs a tight ship and the output is great. CodeMirror is a fantastic

What did they fix? They've side stepped any real solution for the root problem. As such, the only thing they've "fixed" is new relic, by making it report what is actually happening.

All files in Clojure require a namespace form at the top: (ns foo.bar) Since you don't have one, clojure.core isn't available and it freaks out. I'll look into setting the default namespace of file so that it's a little nicer for ne
