We're working on a p2p protocol which aims to be a long term solution to this and, more generally, a social web, which has: 1. 100% portable accounts (you can unilaterally move host, and you keep your social graph, and all links to you

Thanks! The main reason we wrote ipfs-nucleus was to add access control at the block level. It also let us keep it super simple and thus reduce attack surface.

If you're looking for a fully open source, self-hostable, E2EE wiki web app then you might be interested in Peergos - https://peergos.org We have a markdown based wiki viewer and editor- https://peergos.org/

Strong agree. There is a massively undersold feature of IPFS, p2p streams, which do exactly this. We use it extensively in Peergos to sent http requests to a public key. It has stunning UX as well, not having to worry about changing IP addr

Yep, we built a super minimal ipfs replacement - ipfs-nucleus ( https://github.com/peergos/ipfs-nucleus ) with added block level access control, which is also post-quantum.

Yes, it's P2P. Anyone on any server can share and communicate with anyone on any other server. You can also migrate server unilaterally and keep your social graph without needing to tell everyone, all links to your stuff continue to wo

This sounds pretty similar to what we've done with Peergos [0]. It's a p2p e2ee social filesystem. You can migrate servers unilaterally without losing any data, whilst keeping all your social connections, unlike email, and with al

Thank you, that makes sense. So presigned URLs that use auth header are fine (We use those extensively in Peergos, as presigned with an auth query parameter isn't cached by browsers as the query string will change with subsequent reque

Thanks for the awesome product! I have a few questions: 1. Are the rate limits for all users on a given bucket, or by source IP as some other providers do? 2. What is the plan for the rate limits post beta? 3. Do you support the x-amz-conte

Things I love about Go: 1) ridiculously easy built-in cross-compilation 2) structs (compact memory layout and usage) 3) easily having millions of cheap threads aka go-routines 4) modern standard library for things like cryptography Things I

Yes, a system with so many false positives will be ignored by users. Warnings should only occur if a genuine problem is detected. Ideally we'd all use an append-only merkle log ala certificate transparency to lookup public keys. This i

This is similar to p2p streams in IPFS. We've been using these in Peergos for 3 years now via the p2p http proxy in IPFS (which we contributed). It is a glorious model. The client, in our case Peergos, sends normal http requests to a l
