Ok, then fire them from not improving quarterly expectations. Seriously -- this is a real functional system that can work. You're acting like C-level accountability is an edgy suggestion. It very much isn't.

I live in the midwest and cold is normal for a chunk of the year, but one thing always worse than cold: wind. After college at some point I splurged on a North Face jacket with the wind protection bit and it was eye popping how much more to

Something about this just really turns me off. I think it's the comments about indigenous people living without power. Returning to nature ideology seems to always be appealing to city-dwellers. Previous humans didn't overcome nat

Despite what people might tell you the only market for crypto is "vibes". You can tell the bad bones of the market since a single idea (Bitcoin) got renamed "crypto" -- a word short for cryptography which has nothing to

Every mind sees things different. The artist struggles to put that to a medium. The successful expression of their vision is extremely common, but the ability for anyone to even iterate on another artist's work is basically nonexistent

THIS! It's a company that's not keeping on top of things! Overworked managers, HR doesn't have a queue, whatever, but it is unlikely employees magically escape these issues.

Yes, I noticed this too. Also note that throughout the 80s and 90s the grid handled the new transformer upgrades without any sort of national catastrophe. In my mind this hand wringing serves to provide arguments for the anti-EV crowd. The

This is one of the grossest series of discussions on work and life that I've ever seen. OP, please stop shilling for corporations. 10x isn't real and training for any end is completely subjective person to person when it comes to

I think the pilots focus on simulators to manage controls not learn to fly per se. I know there's a lot of overlap in the concepts, but it can be as simple as: flying is more complicated so you have to add extra steps to deal with situ

I read two pop books this year that were way better than I expected. Circe by Madeline Miller. This is a fantastic genre defining classic. This book gave me BIG emotion. Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. Obviously, everyone should read

Amazon has never paid dividends to investors. Its only value is to invest against interest rates or inflation. In fact, if investors wanted dividends it might upset the ability of Amazon to provide its objective. It's stable, but only
