Well let me tell you something: The creator of this app (Kavin Bharti Mittal) is son of the guy (Sunil Bharti Mittal) running one of the big telco company (Airtel) in India. I think he sure has something up his sleeve, and this is why the i

What makes it more shady is that they are funded by Bharti Softbank. Bharti manages Airtel, one of the big telcos in India. So maybe, they want more people to use Hike and maybe sell over some data to Airtel. Since they are spamming, their

Just like this story. The story is a rehash of results, without any analysis. The accompanying picture does not even mention Microsoft. What level were the employees at? Which division? What is the sample size? These statistics are never e

I am happy that the customers are getting access to the most widely used video site. I will let the companies dunk it out as to what is unauthorized or what is not. MS responded to it already, and said they are will be happy to work towards

Just because you are paranoid, does not give you the right to label anyone as paid for roaming a site and attacking your favourite company. This feels like the "either you are with us or them" mentality". Please, if you do not have the proo

Except, Microsoft did not strip ads from the videos. They said yesterday that they will be happy to serve ads if Google lets them access. And please, let the legal departments decide if it is a clear violation or not. Do not take a decision

@cma: No. Metro apps cannot be sideloaded if you are not a Dev. Tell me a store which does not take a cut? Steam, iOS, Nook, Amazon, Play store? Besides, Google's apps on iOS are free.

And how will that be a good experiment at all with one data point? Are you trying to find out the criteria of how they decide to remove the ability? I do not think it is limited to MS articles only.

Ah. I get it. I get it. Google data centre post has less points than this one, but is on the main page and so is the .net one, which i guess is anti-MS one. Thank you for the explanation.

Ok. Thank you for the information. So as other commentators are saying, Google did not let MS access the youtube API, so does this app still in violation of TOS rules? Interesting moves from behemoths, specially considering MS's reply.

Sweet mother of god, what a move to pull. Well played. Looks like Microsoft is pulling the same hand, as Google did with EAS some months ago. Also considering MS has been asking for Google's help since 2010. Brilliantly done.
