For anyone who hasn't read it, Endurance: Shackleton's Incredible Voyage, by Alfred Lansing is a well-written account of the expedition story.

There is, but if I remember correctly this was due to using frog DNA to fill in missing DNA gaps.

If you're referring to Fareless Square that was discontinued in 2012. With the way the MAX stops are designed, it's still very possible to just hop on without paying.

This is the same story for me. Moving from PHP to Python was really difficult conceptually for me. For years fiddling with Apache configs and uploading files via FTP was web development. I sometimes find myself thinking about teenagers gett

This was my first thought. Assuming this bill even becomes law, it seems like this might hurt local retailers.

I told AT&T I was moving out of the country. The very valiant retention specialist still offered a discount on text messages for a year.

Certainly! After rereading my comment I can see how it comes off as unduly harsh on the aforementioned federal agencies. However given the context of the article and the question of replanting a clearcut in the PNW, I'm guessing the in

I used to have the same mindset until I deactivated my account. I'm not sure about businesses in your area but the ones around here love to use Facebook to post updates on business hours, menus, or use it as their only web presence.

I'll second talking to a local nonprofit over the USDA or USFS. At least in the PNW, these agencies are focused on extracting value from the land and their replantings are tightly-packed monocultures designed to be harvested again. The

I really enjoyed the Singing Bones podcast. Each season the narrator talks about the history, origins, and context of various fairy tales and spends an episode per season on the story tellers themselves.

As another F# enthusiast, I share the sentiment, but practically speaking I don't think F# would have been in any position to be the Python of today. It might have had a greater chance if .Net Core existed 15 years ago, but being tied

I think it's just when you use ReasonML in conjunction with Bucklescript to target JS. If you're using ReasonML to compile natively then things are the same.

I work full-time in the healthcare industry writing mostly Clojure(script). I wouldn't base my entire career off it (or any one language for that matter), but there are career opportunities out there using Clojure.
