Google makes you explicitly confirm that you want to download using cellular each time you update, noting that it might induce charges. There, fixed, how come geniuses at apple haven’t considered this? Given how nowadays there’s a toggle fo

Note that react has a monorepo with a lot of tangentially related packages, such as devtools and alternative renders.

This is neat, didn't know about elm's influence on redux.

Both hugo and jekyll use some kind of templating engine, and as far as templating engines go, react is better in a lot of cases. Especially when you can leverage its ecosystem of libraries, or the components for react you already have.

Votesmart started out with mailing lists. Then somehow lists got leaked, and some of the people who subscribed using the same mail they used in government services got visited by police. You also need phone number to register in most emails

People who moved for the money likely went to FAANG instead. Actually, I got interested in this and checked trustarc's careers page and it seems most technical positions are in Philippines/Canada with a mention of "global tea

A lot of the points you mention are really interesting to me, as I've been coming to similar conclusions recently. What are good choices that solve these particularly in the context of js/clientside apps?

You could fix it by doing Object.getOwnPropertyDescriptor(div, 'id') to check if there's a getter instead of plain value, not sure about performance impact though.
