I wish any of my friends would use snapchat, I would be so happy! Instead they use instagram stories, but I can't open instagram without being bombarded by tons of spam and irrelevant ads anymore, I just can't use it.

There are some clients for mobile devices, but I'm pretty sure if anyone were to make such a skin, and it were to gain any meaningful popularity, facebook would just kill its API access or threaten with legal repercussions because its

Those types of limitations can be implemented either client or server -side. When it's clientside, removing overlays from DOM can easily circumvent paywalls and such, but when it's server side, there's nothing you can do.

The fact that you don't like how it looks means only that you don't like how it looks. I'm sure most of the people don't mind or like it (me included).

I wanted to share another killer feature of mikrotik routers - it's called metarouter and it's basically vm hypervisor on a router; you can run other routers or openwrt with basically anything you want, only limited by the router&

AOSP is certainly more open, but half the system and its apps are provided through gapps which are also black box binary blobs that you can't easily dissect.

AFAIK even if you use LineageOS, gapps will still phone home and there is nothing you can do about it. MicroG/yalt is the most user unfriendly thing in this combo, far worse than just flashing custom rom, but it gets rid of it.

Better than using dumbphone though. Another option is an iPhone, but understandably not everyone wants to go with it.

I also worked on a reasonably complex angular app that had sourcemaps generated through webpack, never had any problems with it.

You say that, but their engineering team has been consistently producing one of the better performing electron apps I know. I've seen a lot of praise on HN about their product, so I think they must be doing something right.

I use gitkraken and there are some annoying things in it, like awkward amend UX or inconsistent branch visualisation, but it's the only one of many I tried that I really liked.
