Your problem is the countries network infrastructure not the physical location of the servers, for example here in the UK basically all websites will load quick, it's hard to tell just from page load speeds if a server was located 10 m

Some of my websites actually get decent referrals from twitter, that's was also true even before the sites had their own twitter username. So yeh, some people must be using it :) But not everyones cup of tea, including mine!

I'm fairly sure that moving to a pull queue would generate more overhead for each request, granted it would probably solve their current issues. However IMO sticking with a push setup and solving the brokenness would be a higher performance

Interesting, I have been using their services for a while now but most of my traffic (probably 99%) actually goes straight to my web servers as i'm only really interested in the free DNS hosting service, however looks like i'm breaking the

Personally I would have gone with a dedicated server from somewhere like OVH, about the same price as those VPS's with similar resources (but they are dedicated to you...) As for SSH, just move it on to a port other than 22, that will fix 9

The radio access network latency, and end user bandwidth costs make that a bit hard to do at the moment, cool idea though.

Can't replicate it anymore, so hopefully it's been sorted. Disable/Enabled W3Cache, cleared out Memcache and it looks to be working now, not that technical but got the job done :)

Strange, to be on the safe side GZIP has been disabled. Could be some Nginx config somewhere, had to install quite a lot of caching quick when this got on the front page :) Can you have another check?
