Just have patience and don't sell your crypto just yet. Peoples moods are so temporary and forgetful there for sure will be another bubble within months again.

Lovely initiative, even though I can't think of ideas at the moment (just wanted to applaud).

Makes me wonder if this can be trusted to actually work to amplify all sides of the political compass. GoFundMe's recent example comes to mind as techs untrustworthiness to not meddle with things in the direction of the CEOs preferred

I wonder how often these things actually work. At this point officials must get so many texts that they can't possibly be reading them and they know they're highly liable to be automated rather than necessarily representing real a

Makes me wonder if the bot comments like this https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=30220886 was a ploy to strategically silence this story somehow (by using abusing the flame war disincentivizer feature).

A lot of hate in these comments but I recently played Far Cry 6 on stadia and had a lovely experience. Much cheaper than buying the whole game (I unsubscribed after I finished which was within a months time) and I appreciated being able to

If that were the case why was it ever at 1.8 stars to begin with then? The drastic change (with no software updates) certainly doesn't make intentional manipulation far fetched.

I guess what's going on here, the reason people are divided, is that on software that you dislike (or are forced to use) people generally hate settings and just want the thing to work. On software that people love (like a piece of

Right now is honestly a great time to get into 3D stuff with blender and threejs etc. They've been brewing in adolescence for like a decade but it's all suddenly really mature and exciting right now (and mobile GPUs have caught up

At this point "fallacy" just strikes the same note to me as "misinformation". It's mostly used as a political device to get ideas you want to be true into social consensus but the reality is usually more ambiguous.

Another random reason webassembly is really cool is that it let's you run ML models way faster after page load than through the GPU (which can take a ton of time to load all the buffers into VRAM).

Glad the guy made bank from it. I'd literally had a few worried minutes about the injustice of making something so viral and it not e.g. translating to more security health and happiness for his family.

In some sense this already exists (via users clicking away if it loads too slowly). So maybe the market has a nice balancing function for this already.

I mean what you do in these situations is just have NY times write an article like this on you that you can point to in job applications and any reputational damage is probably nullified.
