This isn’t a hypothesis. This is a well documented event.

They did regular brutality. Attack another tribe, kill like 5% of them, rape etc. everyone did that. No one really wiped out entire species.

I don’t know, killing all but a handful of 30 million wild animals is pretty damn evil. Especially since they just killed them and left them to rot.

I mean it works. Entrance exams for Indian IITs are brutal but the outcome is that something like 50% of all unicorns in India are started by IIT alumni. It’s probably similar in the US and Ivy League universities.

Isn’t it just like Apple. You host the app on your own servers right? And you need a developer account to do all of that.

I don’t know whether it’s warranted but corruption is the primary reasons a lot of these third world countries have such a hard time pulling themselves out of the hole. The damage they cause to millions of lives is probably way more impactf

Why? If kickback happens the blade guard just closes up.

There’s only one reason to use a tablesaw- repeatable cuts and nothing else can really do that. It’s also indispensable for any kind of furniture building.

Exactly. That’s the main thing I use my table saw for. Absolutely accurate, repeated cuts.

Probably but the problem with kickback isn’t because the cutting side isn’t working well, the problem is it catches on the back of the blade.

Why so long for just a gallon. You can boil out a gallon of water in about 70 minutes on a regular home stove.

Honestly I don’t think anything could extinguish all life on earth short of maybe 20 comets hitting earth at the same time or something.

What was the material? Wet wood or staples/nails? I believe you can temporarily turn off the feature if you’re cutting questionable material.

Ah yeah I see. I’ve always used a micro jig like pusher to push it down and towards the backplate to try and avoid that scenario.

How? Do you have a video of the near miss or can you explain it? If you use a piece of wood to push down the top I don’t see how it’s risky.

I don’t understand how you can hurt yourself with a jointer (presuming you’re using a push stick and pad to push the wood down from the top). There’s no risk of kickback and most jointers these days come with spring loaded blade guards that

There’s no reason to do it though. The sawstop is in the body of the tablesaw. It doesn’t get in the way. The only reason I can see someone try to disable it is that really wet (and I mean soaking) wood might set it off.

Blade guards and riving knives are not enough. You would also need a kickback arrestor at the very least (even though the sawstop does not fix that issue).

Maybe but I presume the Chinese will jump in to subsidize that through mass production and we will all end up with saw stop enabled $250 contractor saws.

Well there isn’t enough gold in the world. Sure that would just lead to an increase in gold prices but it would be ridiculous, astronomical numbers.

Yeah I don’t think there is any comparison in how much more superior the US is when it comes to long 500-1000 mile relatively accessible trails. I can think of 10 just off the top of my head.
