It depends on how sequential your script is. It's not very uncommon to start a background task, do something in the meantime and continue when the bg task has finished. These types of async control flows are very easy to model in JS. A

First of all, this is a very cool web hack, I like it very much. I have a question. It's a 668.8MB database file. What does actually happen if the query has to scan 300 mb before finding the right answer? Wouldn't it be better to

I quite like how helm charts solves the problem. You have a values.yaml which is plain yaml, but at the same time you have the helm template language, which allows you to create more complex configuration templates with functions and flow c

I have a K320 with browns. Maybe browns are for you, they have a tactile feedback like the black, but it's much weaker, like the blues so you don't get tired. They are much more silent than the blues (no click), but are a bit loud

I think a hello world example is insufficient. I would like to see some more code examples, especially some that are useful in the real world for building websites. It doesn't have to be a fully functional hacker news clone in Grain, b

That is quite normal behavior for most hosters and it depends on the strength of DDOS. If you have to deal with DDOS frequently then you need a loadbalancer in between your service and your clients, that offers DDOS protection.

Ceph user here. Ceph works fine 99.9% of the time until it doesn't. In this case you get a bit panic and start to google, ask in IRC for help and take a look at the bug tracker. In all critical cases of the past we were able to recover

I'm very sensitive to terminal latency and I find terminals like gnome terminal and the like are simply too slow for me. I use xterm on daily basis because it provides the best latency. https://lwn.net/Articles/751
