Hi mepler. Thanks for the comment. My main concern wasn't translations, but simply being able to view the examples in-browser instead of having to copy-paste stuff to a local installation (which many people might not have). It might make th

Wonderful initiative. Everything CC-licensed, code on Github. Cool! Just wondering why they don't use Processing.js so you can view the works in the browser.

I thought this would be a 'behind the scenes' look at Twitter, the company. However, it's about using Twitter as a support channel at 37signals.

Does your service uses document.write() like Google Adsense? That, for me, is one of my main gripes with it...

Sure, you're right. But i suspect that 95% of all WP installs are by non-techies on shared hosting, that very rarely have Rails or Python support.

I will wonder what happens with subtitles. Watching shows on the beeb with subtitles on was a lifesaver for me when learning English.

And trivially easy to shim for older browsers. I would really recommend using Function.prototype.bind instead of the 'var self = this' or library bind functions (such as $.proxy), it's just the way it should be written :)

Apart from all the wonderful resources listed here, one thing that really thought me a lot was writing stuff without using a library like jQuery. Try writing browser-compatible event handlers (you'll find quirksmode.org an immensely helpful

I made a MVC library called Stapes that hopefully fills in this space: http://hay.github.com/stapes/ It's on TodoMVC as well in the labs section: http://todomvc.com/labs/architecture-examples/stapes/ About 500 LOC, only the important pa

It's funny. I simply Googled for 'conway's game of life' after reading all the posts here and was pleasantly surprised to find this nice easter egg. I submitted it, and now it has been #1 for the past couple of hours :)

Seems pretty effective indeed. If i look at the caught spam on my blog all of them have hyperlinks in either the 'website' field or the comment text itself. Pity it also targets normal users that simply want to post a hyperlink :(

I wrote something similar some time ago: https://github.com/hay/jsdynaload Allows you to do something like this: jsDynaLoad(['1.js', '2.js', '3.js'], function() { console.log('callback'); });
