I read (more accurately listened to) this book a couple of years back. The story itself was engaging and I remember I liked the way everything was described. Once I finished the book though I didn't feel like I took away anything from

Such a great setup! I wish my team would follow something like this. Everyone seems to be in their own silo or they interact with people only for doing a specific task.

It's the same in North America as well. If you get scheduled during lunch time, you will get the opportunity to go outside at least :) All that is moot now because of covid.

Apart from the other points mentioned, I want to add that funding could be a potential issue for studies based on human subjects. More expensive and time consuming compared to studying flies. The general flow of such research is to test var

I don't think the plan to exit the US consumer market was because of the pandemic. I remember there had been talks of exiting the US market even in 2019 ( random article I pulled up after a google search - https://www.thehind

That is insane. How are they even getting away with such a scheme? Did they start out at a 1:1 ratio and change it once network effects and lock-in happened.

I recently listed to an NPR Planet Money podcast regarding the housing shortage. One of the points they mentioned was that the number of people joining construction related trade schools (plumber, electricians, etc) dropped because the cons

I don't think building the feature/product is the challenge here. Signing up all those merchants and convincing them to on-board is going to be time and resource intensive. That is what they are buying.

I have been in a couple of companies where they have had the "bring your child to work day" concept. Though it happens very rarely (maybe 1-2 times per year) I doubt that it has any impact.

I think, unfortunately, the big tech companies might disagree with your take on this issue. They continue to invest millions in new and "re-designed" buildings based on open-office plans.

I think as a consumer, if we are talking about breaking businesses, first in line should be the the cable and telecom oligopolies. Big tech can come next. These companies control more critical infrastructure compared to big tech companies.
